Three-generation family "Don Pepe, my grandfather, started our family tradition in his cafeteria, serving sugarcane workers of Puerto Padre, Cuba.
He started a tradition of pride and hard work and believed that delicious, hot and healthy food made from natural ingredients was important.

Immigrating to the United States in the late 50s, my father, Rene, and my Uncle Raul brought with them recipes and traditions their father started years ago. Rene worked as a chef in New York before moving to Orlando in 1967. In Orlando, he worked at the Colombia Restaurant in the Old Cherry Plaza Hotel on Lake Eola and the famous Ronnie's Deli and Coffee Shop at the old Colonial Plaza. After eight years working for Walt Disney World® Resort, he went on his own; opening his own coffee shops.

My brothers and I became involved in the business in 1991, opening Don Pepe's in Altamonte Springs.  Here you can always expect to be served delicious food at reasonable prices."
